Our dear friend Linden Pride who owns our favorite bar in NYC, Caffe Dante, joined us in Sicily on holiday, and he and Matt came up with this version of a martini, drawing on the abundance of lemons everywhere. We all loved it–it’s much more mellow than a straight martini, and gives the vibe of limoncello without all the sugar.

Sicilian Twist
1.5 oz vodka
1 oz gin
1/2 oz dry vermouth like a Noilly Prat, Dolin or Martini Dry
½ oz bianco vermouth like Cinzano or Alessio
5 ml limoncello
1/4 oz water
Put it all together in a glass bottle along with a strip zest of lemon. Place in freezer for an hour. Put glasses in freezer in advance . Garnish with Sicilian lemon twist…or the most fragrant lemon you can find. For a bottle of multiple servings, multiply by 6
